Report on industrial attachment with ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd

Abstract

The author was attached to ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. for twenty-two weeks under the Industrial Attachment program of Nanyang Technological University. This report provides detailed information of the author's attachment experience with a manufacturing application support department, which allowed the author to acquire hand-on skills of real life interpersonal communication, software release management, end-user support, VBA programming, .Net framework programming, script programing and SQL language. This report also highlights author's understanding of daily operation of a global IT service team and the projects he initiated during his attachment.
