dc.description.abstract | The temperature has significant impact on the electronic performances. Therefore, the effective cooing is a key issue to improve the electronic performances especially as the electronic devices are being designed smaller and smaller. In this project, the different cooling methods for electronic devices will be studied and compared. In this project, six different methods of electronic cooing have been identified and summarized. Two kinds of cooling method microchannel heat sink have been designed. They are air cooling and water cooling. Rectangular straight microchannel heat sink has been designed to simulate the effects of the different cooling methods. Also, the effects of the inlet velocity, pressure drop, thermal resistance, temperature and so on are considered during geometry optimization. | en_US |
