从目的论看梁智强电影字幕翻译策略 = A study on Jack Neo film subtitle translation strategies using Skopos theory

Abstract

电影都含有各种目的，而电影字幕就是辅助电影达到目的的手法之一。电影字幕翻译主要是促进文化的交流，尽可能把电影对白的内容翻译成目的语言。本文通过新加坡知名导演，梁智强，的三部电影代表作分析不同的电影字幕翻译策略和电影的目的之间的关系。希望通过了解两者之间的关联性而明白电影字幕在电影中扮演的重要角色。Different movies carry different motive. Movie subtitles is one of the many methods which helps movies convey messages to wider range of audiences. The main purpose of subtitles is to enable cultural exchange between different spoken language audiences. This thesis uses examples from three Jack Neo’s movies to see the relationship between the subtitles and the motive of the movie. Thus, hope to see the importance of subtitles in movies.
