Title: | A raspberry Pi based timer and display system | Authors: | Su, Xiaohao | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | In the current situation, when we need to find out how fast does the robot take to travel from one point to the other point, a stopwatch has being used for the timing purpose. There are some disadvantages has being introduced. Firstly, it required a person to manually control the stopwatch, which require additional man power for timing purpose. Next, it may not be accurate as there may be human error occur. In order to handle these issue, digital timer system has being proposed and implemented to handle this situation. The purpose of this project is to develop and implement a digital timer system that can be used for timing purpose. Various auto trigger options to start, stop, reset the timer will also be implement. Firstly, suitable LED panel has being source for the implementation. The LED panel must be big enough for the crowd to see the digital timing. The most important feature is we can control the way it display the information. Next, the LED panel must be assembled and tested. Lastly, implementation of the digital timer system was done according to the requirement. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/62583 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
