Issue Date: | 2015 | Abstract: | In a Large-Scale Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor and Actuator Networks (LS-HWSANs), in which numerous sensor/actuator nodes sense the environment, it is important to have Security, Privacy and Trust. An approach whereby authentication and authorization decision are combined in a unified framework for evaluating security policies and credentials is Trust Management. Trust management is the capture, evaluation and enforcement of trusting intentions. This project is a reputation-based trust system, in which the trust in the peer is evaluated and the reliability of the resource is measured based on the Reputation. Reputation is the perception that a peer creates through past actions about its intentions and norms. To reduce the significant resistance in rolling out urban sensing systems and ensuring Security, Privacy and Trust, it is vital to be able to visualize and analyse the data coming from the sensor nodes to mitigate the attacks from compromised/ captured/ dishonest nodes and misbehaviour from faulty nodes. In this report, the author describes the related work done in preparation to the development of the Trust Management web system, discusses the requirements of the system and explains the architecture and technical details on the design and implementation of the web system. Finally, the author closes with challenges faced during the project duration, conclusion on the development of the web system thus far and possible future enhancements. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/62846 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Research Centres: | Emerging Research Lab | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
