Abstract: Web based equipment management systems are widely developed for industry companies. Nowadays, the adoption of cloud computing has been swift for both large and small companies. The importance as well as benefits of cloud computing has been realized by increasing number of companies. Currently SIMTech has several web-based equipment management applications developed using different technology, platforms and databases. This project is to take the step to experience the state of the art technology and migrate its system to cloud. The project targets at providing in-depth understanding of both theoretical and technical aspects of cloud computing. Concepts of cloud service will be well explained with concrete examples. Existing cloud service providers will be listed to provide a clear overview of the strengths of the top cloud service providers. Detailed instructions will be presented to migrate Web enterprise solutions to cloud-based solutions.
