Issue Date: 2015
Abstract: With the advancement of globalization, the complexity in supply chains has dramatically increased, making supply chain management more challenging. The flexibility and effectiveness in agent-based modelling technique makes it well-adapted in supply chain management, validation of agent-based models is challenging. Refinery supply chain involves both complex technical processes and various decision making and requires careful management. In this project, which began with literature reviews on agent-based modelling, supply chain management, refinery supply chain and application of ABM to SCM, an agent-based model on oil refinery supply chain is simulated and validated. Improvements in the model are identified.
