Abstract: This thesis reports and discusses the processing and properties of a thermosetting APPE (allylated Poly Phenylene Ether) resin, when the mixing ratio of the resin and the cross linking agent is changed. PPE resin is a novel high performance material used in electronic industry for making copper clad laminates. In this project, the curing of a commercial PPE resin system with different mix ratios is examined using differential scanning calorimeter. The rheology of the prepreg is examined using a rheometer and the properties of the cured laminate are also tested.
