Further development of expert system for application of ISO 9606-1: qualification testing of welders - fusion welding

Abstract

A good quality weld is performed according to standard ensuring that that the structural integrity of a component is remained intact. The ISO 9606-1:2013 Qualification of testing welders – Fusion welding, provides strict standards and standardizes the qualification of welders. The weld that is performed by these personnel is globally recognized and is to be of exceptional quality. An application is developed to aid in the evaluation of these welders. This report includes the specified welding processes that are included in the standard and also composes the process development of the application.
