Abstract: The topic of this dissertation for the course of Master of Science is "Design Methodology for Sheet Metal Parts". This dissertation will provide knowledge and guidelines to sheet metal parts design and briefly discussed the standard sheet metal forming and joining methods. In order to obtain the methodology for cost effective sheet metal parts design it is essential to reduce modification and "do it right the first time" when designing any part by using this checklist as a guideline.
