dc.description.abstractThis project develops an alternative analytical approach of statistical estimation that will significantly reduce the number of observations to be taken in a simulation process. The proposed algorithm, called the integration of piecewise approach and cell technique (IPACT), will incorporate the concept of cell technique and piecewise approach in the estimation of the statistical parameters of a system output based on known probability distributions of random input variables.en_US
