Abstract: Smart phones have changed our daily lives. With the camera equipped in smart phones, we can make them to recognize object like human beings. In this project, the student will develop algorithms and design a graphic interface for object recognition and detection using a mobile platform, for example, enabling your mobile phone to recognize a logo, a book, a coach bag, etc. Then relevant information about the visual item will then be returned to the user, e.g., for a purchase. The students will have the opportunity to work with researchers and engineers from both NTU and Tencent at ROSE.
