Cartoonization processing for digital photo

Abstract

In this digital age, people rely on their smart phones or cameras to take pictures. Capturing images and uploading to the social network had been prevailing in recent year. Thus due to this there are increase of image retouching and enhancement applications. Digital art is an art form to create and stylize images. Cartoonization is an art form for image by reduction in image details. This can be done by generating uniform brighter colours and bolder edges to achieve to look cartoon like effects. Furthermore, the image processing techniques used will be region growing segmentation. This report focus on create cartoonization with the Matlab software using basic image processing techniques.
