Abstract: The information reported in this thesis was obtained from interviews, which cover the main logistics functions of the distributors in the area of order management and customer services, inventory management, warehousing and transportation. In particular, the dissertation focuses on the logistics models adopted by two distributors of technology products. Through the examination of Anton Tech Inc and Intelli Micro Inc in Asia Pacific, the models are compared and contrasted. Key similarities and differences of successful distributors are identified from the analysis. In addition, the dissertation aims to identify generally the value add and changing role of distributors as well as the opportunities and threats faced.
