Title: Cost-benefit analysis of advanced metering infrastructure and electric vehicle in smart grid
Authors: Wang, Sili
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering
Issue Date: 2015
Abstract: This paper is the author’s final year project report, the purpose of the project is to analyse the cost and benefit of implementing AMI and EV project especially vehicleto- grid (V2G) mode by the designed software program in which is able to compute and save values of cost components and cost savings for a particular project, a financial analysis is later provided through the program to developers and users respectively. All the cost and cost saving components are collected by research and analysis at beginning of project so that the calculation formulas can be defined and written into the software application that is based on Microsoft Visual Studio. The connection between the local database and the application program is through SQL coding. By executing the designed software application program, a cost and benefit analysis report will be presented to users, and these results are saved inside the local database, and users can access and manage the database through the program. By applying specific data into the application, users and developers will be able to obtain a visualised and legible financial analysis to measure the feasibility of a specific project.
