Title: Design of reconfiguration VHF antenna

Abstract: The purpose of this dissertation is to propose a new design of sea-water antenna, using folded monopole that has a better radiation efficiency in the VHF band. Two different designs of folded monopoles are proposed in this project. One design consists of inverted arms folded monopole and the other with corrugated arms inverted folded monopole. The center frequency of the proposed antennas are around 100 MHz. The simulated results of various antenna parameters are presented in this dissertation.
