Verification of a coordinate measuring machine using a laser interferometry system

Abstract

This project is to verify the intrinsic volumetric accuracy of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) using a laser interferometry system. The intrinsic accuracy of a CMM refers to a CMM meeting the accuracy of the specifications by virtue of the physical and mechanical precision and repeatability of the machine structure, geometry and scales.
