Issue Date: 2015
Abstract: Asset Management Production System (AMPS) is an online asset management system designed for general applications in the entertainment industry (2D Animation, 3D Animation, Game Development, and others). AMPS allows users to store their files in the server, share them to other users, and offers options for project managers to keep track of the progress of the project. The purpose of this project is to develop a mobile client application of AMPS for Android. The client application interacts with users, send user actions to servers, receive responses from server and display the results to the users. Communications with server is handled using HttpClient java library. The response from the server is in JSON format, therefore JSON library is used to assist in parsing the response. The various functionalities of the client application have already been mostly completed. The incomplete functionalities are those that the server side code has not been implemented. The tasks left are discovering possible bugs that went undetected, and polishing the user interface.
