Title: | Report for industrial attachment on 3M Asia Pacific Pte Ltd | Authors: | Han, Fallon-D Huilin | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Chemical engineering | Issue Date: | 2014 | Abstract: | This report provides a summary of my six month Industrial Attachment in 3M Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. I was attached to the Electronics Market Material Division (EMMD) - Chemical and Coatings Laboratory, working in a clean-room environment. In this department, the focus was on cleaning and coating optimization processes for electronic parts with my job scope focusing on providing support to customers in the APAC region with regard to the cleaning processes. Apart from that, my job scope also covers daily routine monitoring of the equipment and machinery. Throughout my attachment, I was involved in various cleaning and coating projects and one specific cleaning and coating project will be covered in this report. The cleaning project is a combination of cleaning and contact coating of silver samples. As for the coating project, it involves the comparison between the efficiency of two coatings against abrasion resistance. A real life working experience was offered to me through this attachment and I gained valuable experience and knowledge. This six month attachment has offered me takeaways like the importance of data presentation that will be further elaborated in this report. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/65247 | Schools: | School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
