LED lighting control system

Abstract

Home Automation System has been increasingly explored due to the wide range of expansion and advancements. To keep up the user demands, many companies are offering an all-in-one solution that allows users to create a HAS based purely on just a single company products. However, with the large choice available, more users are keen on combining devices from various companies and manufacturers. But the issue of companies not using a standardized protocol prevent users from doing so. In this project, a simple small-scale LED control system was constructed and implemented with a mobile phone application. Android development and network connection were certain knowledge required for the project. Testing of the mobile application was done with several Wi-Fi LED controllers and proposed measures to tackle common challenges were also examined.
