Abstract: This report represents the knowledge and learning experience gained by the writer through EEE final year project – A1175-142- Intelligent Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV). It describes the learning journey throughout the project , which includes : o Mobility control software design and development o Auto-measuring and display system design o Wireless data acquisition system and application o Multiple microcontroller conmmunication system design o Integration of hardware and software subsystems. Skills and experiences in software development, microcontroller programming and hardware modification were gained through implementations of design and development of Arduino zumo shield subsystems. Properly software integration for the two functions-mobility control and on-road auto-patrol will make the subsystem more accurate and effective for the future integration. As a step towards the completion of UGV platform and mobile system, the integration of three subsystems (mobility control, wireless transmission, I2C conmunication) was accomplished. It involves using WiFi to transmit the data from user control pannel to the master arduino board. Then the conmunication between the slave board and master board will share the conmmand from master board to slave board, get the feedback from slave board and update on the serverwebsite for controling and conmunicating in the entire UGV system. The last phase involves the integrations for software and hardware to implement the entire UGV system. This one year project learning journey has equiped writer with the technical skills in circuit design, soldering, microcontroller programming, multiple system integration, trouble shooting and apply the knowledge learnt to the solve real world problems.
