Title: | Holistic fleet management systems for electric vehicles | Authors: | Tang, Difei | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Electric power::Production, transmission and distribution | Issue Date: | 2016 | Source: | Tang, D. (2016). Holistic fleet management systems for electric vehicles. Doctoral thesis, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. | Abstract: | Large-scale adoption of moving EV loads significantly accelerates the integration of traffic and power systems. This thesis developed a novel Holistic Fleet Management System (HFMS) for impact assessment and alleviation on integrated traffic and power systems due to large-scale adoption of EVs. The issues of transmission line congestion, bus voltage deviation, energy loss, traffic congestion at FCS and price-based EV load shifting mechanism have been formulated and addressed. A probabilistic model for nodal charging demand has been proposed based on the spatial-temporal dynamics of moving EVs. New techniques have been developed for nodal impact assessment and alleviation of moving EV loads in an integrated power and traffic system. The relationship between traffic flow and power flow has been investigated based on price-based EV load shifting demand response program. The impact assessment of large-scale adoption of EVs on traffic system has been investigated from the power system perspective. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/66237 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Organisations: | TUMCREATE | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
