Title: | Investigating the use of design-build as a project delivery system for the new millenium on the Singapore construction industry | Authors: | Koh, Evelynn Abdullah Sock Hoon. Zulkifli Zain M. |
Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Civil engineering::Construction management | Issue Date: | 2004 | Abstract: | The construction industry revolves around projects and the people involved in those projects. Each project is a complex entity, with numerous project participants, design, project management issues, project delivery system and the controlling factors of schedule and budget. The complexity of the projects leads to specialization, or fragmentation, of the industry. Due to the fragmentation and specialization of the construction industry, project parties generally work independently with limited interaction. In the traditional project delivery system, each party maintains their own project management system and the owner of the information controls access to the information. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/6626 | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
