Title: Understanding and implementing ISO 9001 for the building and civil engineering contracting firms
Authors: Tay, Daniel Chin Kwang.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Civil engineering::Construction management
Issue Date: 2000
Abstract: Arising from the enforcement by the government for the IS0 9000 certification since June 1994, many construction companies and companies associated with construction have been certified with IS0 9000 standards and some are still going for certification. So far much has been said for the documentation, but the “how to” techniques are somehow lacking in this local context. This dissertation examines the practical aspect of the development and implementation of quality management system (QMS) according to the IS0 9001 : 1994 standards mainly for building and civil engineering contracting firms.
