dc.description.abstractA good mastery of motor skills is essential in proper functioning in our daily lives. Research has placed emphasis on audio and visual forms of feedback to help individuals learn motor skills. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of using a noninvasive electroencephalogram (EEG) tool to serve as feedback on learning of the underarm throw. A total of 22 participants (12 male, 10 female) participated in the study. Participants are required to attend a total of 4 sessions for the study. The sessions involved a pre-test, 3 practice blocks, a posttest, transfer test and retention test. . The total number of balls thrown into the target was recorded at the end of each session. In the experimental group, participants had access to neurofeedback to help them learn the task. The data was analyzed using the mixed ANOVA and simple main effect test. No significant interaction was found between the intervention and time on learning the underarm throw. However, there was a more consistent improvement in the learning of the motor skill for the experimental group. Overall, the EEG neurofeedback has minimal impact on learning of the underarm throw, which could be due to the overload in information processing encountered by participants during the period of intervention.en_US
