Title: | LogicDroid : security policy editor | Authors: | Song, Jiaying | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2016 | Abstract: | System security of portable devices like hand phone plays an important role in the modern era for protecting the sensitive information. Android, as the most widely used mobile operating system, is given considerable attention by the public. LogicDroid is customized Android OS aimed to make improvement on Android security mechanism to prevent privilege escalation attack. The main idea of LogicDroid is adding a run-time monitor to detect privilege escalation attacks based on the policy specified by end users. To update the policy in LogicDroid monitor, the XML format of the policy needs to be created and stored on the smartphone. This process is error-prone and tedious for normal users. To improve the usability, a policy editor was developed in this Final Year Project to enable the automatic updating of policy through graphical user interface. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/66775 | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
