Abstract: OverComeD is a mental health communications campaign aimed at increasing awareness of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) amongst young people in Singapore. The campaign is planned and executed by four final year students from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University. The campaign aims to create a more supportive environment for people with OCD to seek help. To do so, the campaign will address the misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding OCD, help the target audience recognise the signs and symptoms of OCD and equip them with the ability to help a friend or family member to seek help. The campaign is targeted at tertiary students aged 18 to 25 years old, an age group more susceptible to developing OCD. As such, the campaign focused on youth centred approaches such as social media platforms to communicate campaign messages, interactive on ground roadshows and activities at tertiary institutions and public areas frequented by youths to reach out to the target group. This report details the primary and secondary research conducted prior to the campaign and its key findings that helped shaped the campaign. It also contains details on campaign conceptualisation and execution of the campaign. In addition, both pre and post campaign surveys are discussed and analysed to review the success of the campaign. Finally, the report concludes with a discussion of its limitations and recommendations for future campaigns. The report also contains transcripts, collateral material designs, illustrations and other original documents in the appendix for reference to the main text.
