Financial evaluation of the Malaysian North-South expressway project

Abstract

The primary objective of this thesis is to evaluate the financing of the North-South Expressway Project from the equity holder's perspective. In regard to the financial evaluation method, Valuation-by-Components (VC) based on Downside CAPM approach is applied for the evaluation, since the estimate approach for required returns on equity is more appropriate for emerging markets. VC values have been obtained as results which show the financial viability of the project.
