Title: | SEAD : prayer beads revolutionized | Authors: | Tay, Yang Heng | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music | Issue Date: | 2016 | Abstract: | In the recent years, there has been a huge rise of Tally counters, Digital rosaries or Apps as prayer beads substitutes. It is evident that the community has embraced the use of technology in such spiritual activities. Using technology in these aspects does offer experiences that traditional beads cannot. SEAD is a smart prayer bead concept device that tracks the user’s praying or meditative performance and motivates users to accomplish daily goals to form good, correct praying habits. Along with utilizing social media and user profiling, SEAD aims to shed a new light onto such spiritual practices. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/67177 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
