Abstract: Personalities of the Universe is an illustration project that explores how human connections are made and subsisted through the lens of astrology. Through a series of 91 portraits imagined from the artist’s personal experience, the subjects represent the personality traits derived from the characteristics of zodiac signs and celestial bodies. Astrology parallels the celestial bodies in our planetary system. As such, the sun mirrors the individual self. From the sun’s perspective, we are able to draw relations and see how celestial bodies interact, in the same way we view human relations from our perspective. The mirror subsumes the “sun” as a central figure in viewing this exhibit, as with the other various elements, projecting the connections that tie humanity together.
