Abstract: Yan Zhenqing (颜真卿) was a noted calligrapher in the Tang dynasty and has since had a profound influence on Chinese calligraphy. He displayed excelled skills in Chinese paleography which was evident in his calligraphic works. My thesis examines the evolution of Yan Zhenqing's model characters thru analysis of characters and scripts.
