Title: Semi-autonomous control of an unmanned aerial vehicle

Abstract: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) has so far been used for military purposes. With technologies improving, commercial industries have also started to adopt this use of UAVs. In this project, the research and development of small quad-copter will be conducted to achieve good flight performance and stability. From the research and testing done on a small quad-copter, modifications will be made to another small quad-copter to prepare it for the Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition 2016, such as LED lighting and Payload Drop Mechanism. In the competition, the modified quad-copter came in 4th overall in the Semi-Autonomous Category.
