This report serves as a medium to discuss my Final Year Project’s journey. In this report, it provides the reader with an understanding of the process of implementing and creating the Image Matching System, which is the ultimate aim of this project. Over the past years, visual object search pertaining to image and video datasets is gaining more attention in the industry. It requires an algorithm which scans through the query object and does a search down the database to obtain the result. At the end of the project, an Image Processing and Pattern Recognition system using SIFT algorithm, MATLAB and Microsoft Excel is created.
