Issue Date: 2016
Abstract: This project is concerned with non-intrusive method of monitoring the well-being of elderly and to assist in their dairy routines. The main idea is to have a device attached to the elderly (such as a watch or finger tag) with wireless communication capability to sense information for processing to determine the well-being of the elderly and sound alert/alarm to caretakers if something abnormal is detected. The software elderly support system mainly used the MATLAB Mobile to collect the elderly’s data, and analyzed the elderly’s behavior. A Graphical User Interface is created for the user to have a better understanding on what the elderly is doing. This report presents the flow of how the software was built out and also clearly stated all the assumptions made throughout the project. All the coding was explained in details.
