Abstract: Today, the rapid advancement in technology has improved and benefited people from all aspects in life. However, the advancement in technology has also brought about numerous environmental issues. The novel industrial processes and human activities have introduced new sources of air and water pollution, which have threatened the sustainability of the environment. Hence, environmental and health problems will be key issues for the present and generations to come. Major health and environmental problems such as global warming, acid rain, and the deterioration of the ozone layer are caused by air pollution. The presence of these environmental problems makes achieving the goal of sustaining clean air for the future a major challenge. With the introduction of nanotechnology, we are able to understand the severity of the environmental issues further and perhaps, achieving the goal of sustaining clean air for the future. The purpose of the report is to provide an in depth analysis of the current environmental issues and how the usage of nanotechnology has benefitted us thus far.
