Title: Traceable peak envelope power measurement for mobile communications
Authors: Luo, Jiawen
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering
Issue Date: 2016
Abstract: Traceable peak envelope power (PEP) measurement and calibration for mobile communications have been done in this project. The report discusses the background concepts and the calibration model using peak power sensor analyzing in the frequency domain. Firstly, definitions for double sideband large carrier (DSB-LC) amplitude modulation (AM), peak envelope power (PEP), and it correction factor (CFP) are introduced. Then, the theoretical model and detailed experiment procedures are explained followed by the discussion of the uncertainty of CFP using Monte Carlo method (MCM) and Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM) method. Lastly, the method for remote controlling is also mentioned.
