Title: Development of a graphical user interface for a step detection program

Abstract: This report presents an overview of author’s final year project in Nanyang Technological University with the aim to develop a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for step detection program. The paper first gives a brief introduction on the planning and research on information such as the advantages and disadvantages of the programming languages and the design aspects for building a GUI before development. In the next section, the report outlines the major phases of the Software Development Life Cycle model (SDLC) which consists of design, implementation and testing. The paper will also include the description to various tasks carried out by the author while developing the project. The last chapter gives a conclusion to the project and suggestions for future works. The report also includes the whole of the code that was written by the author in the appendices.
