Abstract: This project had developed a web application that generates smart QR Code for conference networking scenarios. The aim was to enhance attendees experience on exchanging contact information in paperless way, and also promoting the interaction between conference organizers and attendees through customizable interactive personal page embedded in the QR Code. This smart QR Code generator is mainly serving for Photonics @ SG 2017 conference held in Singapore, which combined 3 international photonics or optics academic conference. It has more than 1000 attendees, thus the needs for improving the networking experience is solid and this web application aims to cater this issue perfectly. The primary differentiator comparing to existing solution for this smart QR Code generator is it combines most of the essential features including: QR Code generation, QR Code graphical design, name badges customizable design, configuration management, batch name badges generation, printing friendly output file generation. Other than that, it also comes with innovative feature: interactive landing personal page which have furthermore possibility to develop. It could build a channel between organizer and attendees for the event. As an organizer, this smart QR Code generator provide one stop solution and the operation to generate name badges from end to end is simple in just a few steps. Organizer could also monitor the scan count at the admin page to get insight of from the attendees’ behaviors to improve the conference. As an attendee, he or she could exchanging contact information with each other in a better way, by just simply scan the personal QR Code on others name badges. Which could overall promote the user experience of the event.
