dc.description.abstract | With an ever increasing need for timely healthcare, clinics and hospitals have to carefully manage their patients’ waiting time. This project aims to reduce the patient waiting time in an eye clinic located in Tanjong Pagar. Data on the movement of patients was collected over the course of six work days in January, from which the probabilities and distribution of process times were generated using ARENA’s Input Analyzer and Microsoft Excel. A model simulating the work processes in the clinic was then constructed and validated on ARENA. After which, modifications were made on the model to understand their effects on the patients’ average waiting time. | en_US |
