dc.description.abstract | Everyone has told a lie at one point in his or her lives. All of us probably had told more lies than we would like to admit, and more than we are even aware of. It is often preached that “Honesty is the best policy” across many generations, but it is hard to abide by that. Is it truly wrong to lie? Or perhaps it is a necessary evil? Putting the little lies we say daily under the microscope to scrutinize, this project aims to highlight this weird and interesting way of communication. Are our “white lies” full of kind intentions, or just for our own selfish gains? Are these lies a terminal infection in our society, or a necessary route to take to achieve our goals? Can we really come clean and say the uncomfortable truth? This is an exploration of our everyday lies hidden under the facade of our day-to-day lifestyle, so as to reflect upon ourselves, in an attempt to see our truths clearer. | en_US |
