Abstract: Generic website is a very good platform for organizations and individuals to promote their business. A research group website becomes a wise choice for institutes and academic groups to showcase their research activities. Other than this, a research group website can provide numerous benefits in academic communication and internal bonding within the group. Research Group Website’s primary benefits make it a power tool to expand the influence of the institutes and academic groups. External individuals and parties can have an easier way to access acquire publication, press release and other useful information. It also enhances the social interaction with public on its research areas, and ultimately inspires more young talents to take interested in research practices. Responsive web design is a popular approach to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience. It feeds the need of using mobile devices to brows the website pages. A responsive website be more welcome to public with the trend of increasing usage of the mobile devices. With the study on the user requirements from EEE research fellows, a generic responsive website entitled EEE Research Group Web was developed for a new assistant professor in NTU EEE School. The web application aims to provide an integrated solution for its research group to manage their research materials, showcase research activities and expanding its academic reputation.
