Title: | Make-up allocation system | Authors: | Ma, Tianchen | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2016 | Abstract: | Smart Lab Make-up Allocation System (MAS) is a mobile friendly website that leverages on web technology to automate the end-to-end process when students register make-up labs. There are various reasons why students need to do a makeup lab, such as MC, public holiday, personal matters and so on. Each time when a student requests a make-up lab, lab assistants, technicians, and professors all have to be involved in collaboration, to ensure there is a vacancy in the lab session for the student to register, as well as a partner, could be assigned to pair up with the student as in all labs are performed by 2-person groups, in addition, professors have to be aware of the student’s new schedule so that attendance could be taken accordingly. MAS takes care of everything when a student requests a make-up lab, from the intuitive user interface, which is for students to select which lab session to do make-up based on their own preference, to the notifications sent to all involved parties, like lab assistants, technicians, professors and student’s partner. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/68217 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Organisations: | BITSTREK | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
