dc.description.abstractTraffic signs, as auxiliary facilities for traffic safety, play an important role in the entire traffic system. They transfer vital information like warning, instruction and others to both pedestrians and drivers. With the development of artificial intelligence, research in the field of in intelligent driver assistance systems and autonomous cars attracts more and more attentions. Therefore, as a fundamental technology of autonomous cars, traffic signs recognition becomes one of the hottest research. In this report, a methodology of traffic signs recognition based on color threshold, edge detection, Hough transform and other algorithms is introduced. The platform used in this report is Matlab R2015b.en_US
