Abstract: This report presents the results of the project on development of new sorbents/catalysts for air pollution control using urban refuse. Sawdust, a waste from wood processing plants, was used as the raw material for the project. A series of activated carbons was prepared from sawdust under varying conditions in order to optimize preparation parameters.
