Research and development of penetrant testing

Abstract

In this report consists of three main topics regarding Non Destructive Testing (NDT). At the beginning of the report will discuss about the different techniques such as visual inspection, penetrant testing, ultrasound testing, radiography and magnetic particles testing which are commonly used to analyse surface defects. The focus will mainly be on penetrant testing as well as the comparison between the red penetrant and the fluorescent penetrant. At the later stage of the report, the research and development of penetrant testing will be shown. The data collected, as well as the information required were collected through the professor and students' effort.
