Abstract: The objectives of this research program are: (a) to establish and to enhance the R&D capability in Aerospace Technology with particular reference to the turbo-fan engine exhausts. (b) to develop a forced mixer geometry that can be used for a wide range of thrust class turbo-fan engine exhausts. The specific goals of the programme are to: 1. acquire detailed fundamental fluid dynamics for the forced mixer flows 2. establish the important design criteria for the forced mixers. 3. determine the most desirable forced mixer geometry for a wide range of thrust class turbo-fan engines.
