With the development of the technology, smart phone grows rapidly in recent year. Among all the smart phones, Android phone has its unique advantage of openness to provide a better service for people. This dissertation mainly focuses on the wireless equipment control based on Android operation system and Arduino. In addition, the dissertation includes Android application development and Arduino chip utilization. The aim of the project is to find out a new solution for the remote equipment control in order to add values to the intelligent robot industry. In general, this project includes developing the Android application using Eclipse, programming Arduino chip and constructing the hardware. Firstly, Android application development focuses on mobile communication with Wi-Fi module and sending command to it. Use the Arduino program to receive the command from the mobile phone and control the motor and camera. Besides, JAVA language is used to write the Android program, and C language is also used to write the Arduino program. This project provides three control methods, including Normal mode, Voice mode, and Gravity mode. The main function of the app is showing the video, setting and connecting Wi-Fi, taking pictures, viewing and processing the pictures. The car can receive the command and go forward and backward, tum left and right. The dissertation mainly focuses on project design, software and hardware mode selection, system design and debugging, project summary and prospect.en_US
