Abstract: Having a surveillance system at home is always expensive. This is often due to the expensive devices that are needed to purchase. With the increasing number of people using smart phone, old smart phone can be use as a surveillance camera. This can help to save the cost of buying surveillance devices. The purpose of this project is to allow the user to turn any smart phone into a surveillance camera. This application is designed to be able to do what surveillance camera do. It is able to capture image, record video, detect motion and live stream. All the control is done remotely through SMS. User is able to view all capture media through Dropbox or the surveillance phone. This application is a cheaper alternative to do surveillance at home.
