Title: | Mobile application for children early development via wearable devices | Authors: | Lim, Yuan Jie | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2016 | Abstract: | Voice4Baby is a multi-component system that helps in tracking linguistic development in toddlers. A wearable hardware device is worn by toddlers to record verbal interactions that the toddler's caregivers have with the toddler. These recordings are uploaded to the Voice4Baby Cloud Service for processing and analytics, and eventually made available for visualisation in a mobile application that caregivers shall use to track the linguistic development of the toddlers under their care, and also to control the wearable device. After prior research and development in various facets of the Voice4Baby Cloud Service, there was a need to further develop the mobile application component of the system. Mobile application development was thus the objective of this project. Using an iterative and incremental approach in development, a robust, user-friendly mobile application has been developed to support a seamless end-to-end flow in the system. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/69166 | Schools: | School of Computer Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
