Title: | Mobile-based system for public health snakealert application | Authors: | Ngo, Tan Quang | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computing methodologies::Image processing and computer vision | Issue Date: | 2017 | Abstract: | This project is a continuous from the SnakeAlert System. The objective of this project is to extend functionalities to the system by implementing an image recognition service in order to recognize and identify types of snakes for the built system. The SnakeAlert system provided public users with several functions including alerting, preventing and giving First-aid information for each type of snake captured by users’ camera. The image recognition service provided the system with the ability to recognize the snakes’ types in short time and helps users and system admins to quickly get specific information regarding those snakes. It also prevents users from abusing the system by submitting irrelevant photos. The service was designed and implemented using Caffe framework and Python/ Flask. The SnakeAlert system will benefit users staying near forests or regions with snakes as well as medical officers in those regions. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/70330 | Schools: | School of Computer Science and Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
